Forests Without Frontiers (FWF) is a Brighton-based non-profit organisation founded in 2019 by Nicoleta Carpineanu, dedicated to restoring and protecting nature across Europe and the UK for future generations.
By harnessing the power of music and the arts, FWF operates guided by three core principles:
Β· Restore β We work to regenerate and safeguard ecosystems
Β· Nurture β We honour and celebrate culture and community
Β· Inspire β We create music and art to spark connection and action
FWF exists as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in the UK and as a registered charity in Romania. Since our launch, we have planted over 225,000 trees and built a growing network of artists, businesses, and communities committed to creating a sustainable future. As we scale up our ambitions with our ongoing mission - to bring nature back to life and people back to nature β our team are currently in a process of solidifying FWFβs organisational foundation and structure and are now seeking new Trustees to strengthen our existing board and governance, expand our expertise, and help us reach the next level of our strategic development.
What weβre looking for
We want to build a diverse and dynamic Trustee Board of up to seven new members (joining our existing board of founding trustees) bringing skills in the following areas:
1. Chair of Trustees Leadership, governance oversight, ambassadorial role.
2. Legal & Governance Trustee Charity/CIC law, compliance, Safeguarding Lead.
3. Finance & Audit Trustee (Treasurer) Financial strategy, audit, and risk.
4. Fundraising & Partnerships Trustee Grants, corporate sponsorship, philanthropy.
5. Communications & Media Trustee PR, storytelling, digital campaigns.
6. Organisational Development & HR Trustee Scaling structures, HR, diversity and inclusion, policies

Commitment
Trustees typically attend quarterly board meetings (remote or in person in Brighton), engage in occasional working groups, can join in relevant FWF events and act as ambassadors for FWF. This is a voluntary role but offers the opportunity to make a substantial impact at a pivotal stage in FWFβs journey, whilst supporting to create a meaningful legacy for our planet.
How to Apply
If youβd like to bring your skills, passion, time, and dedication to Forests Without Frontiers, please send us a short statement of interest and your CV to lili@forestswithoutfrontiers.org
