Who are Forests Without Frontiers?

We are a non-profit organisation founded in 2019, proudly dedicated to restoring and protecting nature across Europe and the UK for future generations.

How?

We passionately believe that we can do this is by harnessing the awesome power of music and the arts, inspiring people to reconnect with each other and with nature. BUT… we can’t do this alone. We need you!

Nature needs you.

At FWF we are guided by three core principles

Restore

  • We plant trees creating vital habitat for wildlife to flourish and for ecosystems to recover

  • We cooperate with other conservation projects and organisations who are working to reintroduce key species like beavers and bison and bears… oh my!

  • We are working towards assisting local conservation projects to purchase land and ensure its protection.

    But we don’t stop there…

Nurture

  • As well as planting trees, we work to maintain and protect them, along with existing forest, safeguarding them for the future

  • We work with local communities to plant and care for the trees, whilst honouring and celebrating their culture, traditions and connection to the landscape

  • We work with musicians who are indigenous to the lands we protect, recording their instruments and their voices within the forest environment.

Inspire

  • We collaborate with musicians and artists of all kinds and from any background - Voices of the Forest - to create works of beauty, inspired by and for the Forest

  • This creative output powerfully engages people from all backgrounds, inspiring them to join the conversation and support our precious planet

  • We host exhibitions, gigs, networking events, pop-up dinners etc where we can unite in our love for nature and raise vital funds to support our work.

…all with the aim of bringing nature back to life and people back to nature.

Our unique approach of blending culture and creativity with conservation is what sets us apart from other organisations. We take an ecosystem-based approach that supports trees and forests, wildlife and people, music and art – all at once.

In partnership with local organisations and communities, we work in forests and other landscapes that need our help. These partnerships are critical to what we do, allowing local people to be directly involved in the regeneration of their landscapes, heritage and traditional wisdom.

Please support Forests Without Frontiers in their mission. I’m proud to be a tiny pine needle or acorn in this giant and wonderful project.

I believe that nature restoration is everybody’s responsibility. We can’t keep taking from nature without giving back. As an artist, using music and arts seems a natural way to bring people together, spread the message, and empower creative action. I encourage you all to join us and be the voice of the forest.
— Nicoleta Carpineanu, Founder of Forests Without Frontiers
